Our Extravaganza basket is huge! It offers all the finest products in a design sure to impress! It is the perfect gift for a corporate event, a way of saying thank you to someone who has gone above and beyond, as a lovely wedding gift basket for a wedding you are unable to attend, or an anniversary gift basket to let someone across the miles know you're thinking about them on their special day.
One of the products in this basket, in particular, is a customer favorite. Our Hot Pepper Jelly makes a great marinade for meat, can be served with crackers or even enjoyed on toast.
We have also found this great recipe from Gourmet Du Village which is also a wonderful way to use this product.

Baked Brie with Hot Pepper Jelly
I have served this numerous times to guests, brought to pot luck dinners and even as a hostess gift (I wrap the baked brie and hot pepper jelly in decorative cello, add a recipe card and top with a bow!) Each time it is presented, it is always met with rave reviews.

Valentine's Day Gift Baskets Are Here!
I am excited to announce that our 2011 Valentine's Day gift baskets are now available online! We have a great selection of gifts this year priced from $18.25 and up. Every year I try to guess what is going to be the most popular designs. This year I'm betting on Chocolate Surprise, priced at $22. It's a great price point and is filled with amazing Lindt chocolates. You simply can't go wrong with this choice.
New this year, are Build Your Own Gifts. You select the plush and balloons and we'll assemble them for you. We've got some top of the line plush that won't break the bank.
The other item that I think will do very well is our Love Snack at $45. Again, it is priced right, has a lot of variety and it will be the perfect gift for a man or woman.
Valentine's Day is only a month away. One of the services we offer is early ordering with a future ship date. Many of our customers take advantage of this option to ensure they receive their choice and they leave the delayed delivery up to us. It's a smart way to ensure you get the exact gift you want.

Valentine's Day Gift Baskets 2011
As another Valentine's Day approaches, I am still amazed (after 16 years) that I get soooo excited.
As Christmas draws to a close and the New Year begins all I can think about is catching up on some much needed sleep.
Then THE CATALOGS AND FLYERS arrive all decked out in red, white and hearts aplenty. Although many times our containers and other items have been ordered months in advance, it is now when we decide on the "sparkle" items that will give our Valentine's Day gift baskets that "wow" factor.
As a peruse these wonderful, colorful pages, the fatigue drifts away and inspiration rebounds. I place my orders quickly and anticipate the arrival of these Valentine's Specialties.
Stay tuned for future postings of some of our creations!

Solving the Mystery of Gift Basket Delivery
Today, I would like to alleviate some misconceptions regarding the delivery of gift baskets. Namely, how it is done and how long it takes. I am going to focus mainly on Canada, but also touch on delivery within the United States in the hopes of clearing up any confusion and making your gift shipping a little more understood.
Unlike floral shops, gift basket companies are not set up with things like FTD. They do not take orders and then farm them out to a gift basket company that is close by to have built and delivered. Most gift basket companies actually prepare their orders and ship them to the destination from their location.
This is slightly different in the USA and/or if the company is a drop shipper. Drop shippers (many are based in the US) receive orders and send them to a central "drop ship center" where the baskets are assembled and shipped from this one location.
Therefore, if you need a gift basket in a particular city in a very short period of time (same or next day), you will need to find a gift basket company located in that city. It might take a little investigation, but all good gift basket companies clearly display their location on their website, usually under "contact us".
Alternatively, if you find a particular company which you like working with, familiarize yourself with their policies. Make sure you understand the difference between processing times and shipping times. Processing times is how long it takes them to actually process or build your order and have it ready for pick up by their courier. Shipping times pertain to how long it takes that courier to get it delivered to the recipient from the moment they pick up the gift. This information too is clearly visible on all good gift basket company sites. If you are not sure, contact them. They have a vested interest in getting your gifts delivered within your required time frames, however, if it says it takes 5 days to ship to a particular destination, there is no way they will get it there tomorrow, and if they are unable to contact you, they will send it out as is.
The best advice I can give you, if you send gift baskets frequently, is build a relationship with your gift basket provider. Ask questions and request details. They have the knowledge and experience to make your gift shopping experience an enjoyable event.
